It is used as modifier to produce alkyd resin; used as cutting oil, lubricating oil additives for polypropylene; nucleating agent; and also is used as a food preservative agent; polyester polymerization stabilizer; its barium salt, sodium salt, zinc salt used for polyethylene. PTBBA can also be used for oral drug additives, the automotive deodorant the outer membrane, preservatives, additives, alloy nucleating agents for polypropylene, PVC heat stabilizer, metal cutting fluid, antioxidant, alkyd resin modifier, flux, dye and novel sunscreen. PTBBA also is used in the production of p-tert-butyl benzoic acid methyl ester, widely used in chemical synthesis, cosmetics, perfume and other industries. |
